Who am I?

Hullo ---- well, this is me Nicos Stylianou and I thank you for visiting my site igreekmythology.com.

I live on the beautiful island of Cyprus, which (as you probably most of you don't know) is situated in Eastern Mediterranean, and I am the proud father of two boys, aged ten and five.

Why I built this site?

Greek Mythology has been my life long passion, dating back in time when I received my first book (mind you, back in those days pictures were in black and white!) on Greek Mythology, when I was in elementary school at the age of seven.

Ever since then, I progressively expanded my knowledge, getting more and more acquainted with the glorious past of ancient Greece.

When my elder son, Andreas, had his first Greek Mythology course in Elementary School, I was very happy to realize that he developed an interest in the subject as well.

It was then that the idea of building a site dedicated to Greek Mythology struck me: It would be a wonderful opportunity to combine the following:

• Get myself engaged in web design and in the process of building an online business. Apart from Greek Mythology, the online world has always been a source of fascination for me.
• Share my knowledge and passion for Greek Mythology with other people around the world.
• Involve my son in the process. Exposing him to the internet technology while pursuing his interest in the subject, would offer him a wonderful learning experience.

  What is more, considering that our visitor base would most probably consist of younger people, he would provide his valuable perspective when building content.
